Ki'taxa vathia' mes sta ma'tia sou ke i'da to me'llon mas - I looked deep into your eyes and saw our future

There is one time in our life
We truly believe
We find someone who can completely turn our world around
We tell him/her anything that we’ve never shared with others
He/she will absorb everything we say and actually want to hear more

We share hopes, dreams, goals for the future
We also share so many disappointments that life has thrown at us
When something  happens, we can’t wait to tell him/her about it
he/she is not embarrassed to cry with us when we are hurting
Laugh with us when we make a fool of ourself

One day maybe  he/she will hurt our feelings or make us feel like we are not good enough
But the other day he/she will build us up and show us the things about ourself that make us special
There is no pressure but only a quiet calmness when he/she is around.
We can be ourself and not worry about what he/she will think of us

Things that never interested us before become fascinating
Because we know they are important to him/her
We think of him/her in everything we do.
Simple things bring him/her to our mind
The song we hear, the view we see

We may not be his/her first, his/her last, or his/her only
He/she  loved before, he/she may love again
But if he/she loves you now, what else matters?
He/she is not perfect
We aren't either
The two of us may never be perfect together

He/she may not be thinking about us every second of the day
Don't change him/her
Don't analyze
Don't expect more than he/she can give

No relationship is perfect, ever
There are always some ways you have to bend
To compromise
To give something up in order to gain something greater
The love we have for each other is bigger than these small differences.

So smile when he/she makes you happy
Let him/her know when he/she makes you mad
Miss him/her when he/she is not around

We open our heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day
But in opening our heart, we also will experience  love and joy
